Monster Island, the Asylum's mockbuster for 2019, was released just in time with Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film centers on an island with the same title as the island itself where a monstrous lives.


Because the budget for this asylum film is so low (about the equivalent of a large children’s meal), they chose to shoot only a few scenes and all of the key moments with the cast's A-listers during lunch. Remember, however, that (first published) this is a kaiju film, and that's basically of how things go, so maybe The Asylum won't do too badly with it.
